When a lead becomes a client, their lead information doesn't disappear. Open the client and you can see how the lead ended up and every stage it went through.
Why it helps
See where a client came from and who brought them in.
Look back at how long they took to sign and what happened along the way.
Nothing is lost when a lead turns into a client.
View a client's lead history
Open the client.
Go to Notes and Documents.
Click Lead history.

You'll see:
Item | What it shows |
|---|---|
Stage badge | Where the lead ended up, for example Won. |
Source | Where the lead came from. |
Value | The lead's value. |
Owner | Who looked after the lead. |
Referred by | The person or partner who referred them. |
Closed | When the lead was won or lost. |
Lost reason | Why the lead was lost, if it was. |
Stage history | Every stage change, with proposal links for moves made by a proposal. |
If the client wasn't added as a lead first, the tab says No lead history.
Tip: The lead history only loads when you click the tab, so opening a client stays quick.
Activity is still there too
Activity & documents is the other tab in Notes and Documents. It shows the client's full timeline, including the calls, meetings, emails, notes and tasks logged while they were a lead. See Log activity and tasks.
