The Activity timeline keeps everything that happens with a lead or client in one place: notes, calls, meetings, emails and tasks. It drives the Last contacted and Next step columns on the Leads page, and the tasks show up in Follow-ups.
Why it helps
Anyone on your team can pick up a lead and see the whole conversation so far.
Logging a call takes seconds, with one-click outcomes like Left voicemail.
Every lead has a clear next step with a due date and an owner.
Reminders make sure tasks don't get forgotten.
Where you'll find it
On a lead: click the lead on the Leads page, or open its record and go to the Lead Details tab.
On a client: open the client and go to Notes and Documents > Activity & documents.

The timeline has two parts:
Up next lists open tasks, earliest due first.
History lists everything that's been logged, newest first. Click Show older to load more.
Log a call, meeting or email
In Activity, click the phone, calendar or envelope icon (Log call, Log meeting or Log email).
Add a Subject if you like. It defaults to "Phone call", "Meeting" or "Email".
For calls and meetings, pick an Outcome, or type your own.
Check When. It defaults to now, and it can't be in the future.
Add Notes about what was discussed.
Click Save.

Activity | Quick outcomes |
|---|---|
Call | Spoke to them, Left voicemail, No answer, Booked a meeting |
Meeting | Held, No-show, Rescheduled |
Calls, meetings and emails update the lead's Last contacted date.
Add a note
Click the note icon (Add note) to write a note with basic formatting: bold, italic, underline and lists. The subject is optional.
Add a task
Click the task icon (Add task).
Enter What needs doing?, for example "Send the quote".
Pick a Due date. Use Today, Tomorrow or Next week, or choose a date.
Check Assigned to. It defaults to you, and you can choose any active staff member.
Add any details in Notes and click Save.

The lead's earliest open task becomes its Next step. If an open lead has no open task, the Leads table shows None set in orange.
Complete a task
Tick the circle next to the task in Up next. OnboardMe asks Done. What's the next step? Click Add next step to set the next task straight away, or No thanks.
Completed tasks move into History with the date they were done.
Edit or delete an entry
Hover over an entry and click the pencil to edit it, or the bin to delete it. Deleting asks you to confirm, and it can't be undone.
Note: Read Only users can see the timeline but can't add, edit or complete anything.
Activity follows the client
Activity belongs to the client, not just the lead. When a lead becomes a client, everything logged while they were a lead stays on their timeline under Notes and Documents.
